The Hunter HEPAtech 25 Air Purifier (30025) uses the same long-lasting micro-filter material used in hospital respirators, incubators and anesthetic equipment. This three-speed model has a portable design that is easy to move from room to room. It has a Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) that will exchange air up to six times per hour in a 10 by 10-foot room with an 8-foot ceiling. It's a great choice for desktops in offices, or for use in the smaller rooms of the home. Other features include an air flow rating of 100 CFM (cubic feet of air per minute), and easy-change drop-in filter pack. The HEPAtech system has a whisper-quiet fan that draws air into the unit without noise, and then sends it to a separate washable pre-filter captures large dust particles, lint and pet hair. The permanently charged HEPAtech Electret filter then effectively captures 99.97 percent of particles as small as 0.1 microns in size. This model also includes an ionizer that distributes negative ions throughout the room to enhance the cleaning process while freshening the air. CADR measures the amount of clean air that a purifier delivers into a room. It gauges real world performance, taking into account filter efficiency, airflow and room size.
