I bought the KitchenAid Nickel Pearl coffee maker and grinder on Amazon and bought this filter because I dont care for paper filters. This is such an inexpensive accessory, looks so nice and works so well that I cant recommend it highly enough.

This filter does work well, but the "gold tone" came off, or more precisely eaten off by the coffee grounds in less than 5 months. You can see exactly how far up the grounds go in the filter. It still works well, but I'm somewhat disappointed.

If, like me, you prefer using a permanent rather than paper filters in your coffee maker, don't be put off by the higher price of this over other gold-tone filters.
