Designed to evoke the charm of a French garden, the Fleurence pattern from Villeroy & Boch captures the relaxed contentment found in the French countryside. Clusters of fruit and cherry blossoms, laurel leaf rings in deep green, and bands of soft country yellow and pale celadon all combine to bring the airy garden feel inside. Subtle ridges, textured layers, and other sculptural elements add a touch of sophistication, enabling the collection to be used daily or for special occasions. A wonderful complement to the other pieces in the French Garden line, this large square cachepot stands on four sturdy feet and can easily house a 6-inch garden pot. Measuring 7-1/4 inches on each side, and standing 5-3/4 inch high, a pale dusty yellow glaze covers each side, while a subtle floral print in pale celadon adds a decorative element. A cluster of apples and cherry blossoms adorn two of the four sides, while plums and cherry blossoms decorate the other two sides. Beneath each cluster of fruit, the Latin translation is written in fine script. For added beauty, a top glaze has been applied to protect the vivid colors. --Lea Werbel
