Designed to evoke the charm of a French garden, the Fleurence pattern from Villeroy & Boch captures the relaxed contentment found in the French countryside. Clusters of fruit and cherry blossoms, laurel leaf rings in deep green, and bands of soft country yellow and pale celadon all combine to bring the airy garden feel inside. Subtle ridges, textured layers, and other sculptural elements add a touch of sophistication, enabling the collection to be used daily or for special occasions. A wonderful complement to the other tableware pieces in the French Garden line, each deep pasta plate in this set of six measures 11-3/4 inches in diameter and stands 2 inches high. The perfect dishes for a pasta course, these large plates make a bold statement. Extremely wide rims in soft country yellow are encircled by a ring of laurel leaves, while a cluster of lemons, as well as a cherry blossom, decorate the bottom of the bowl. The Latin translation for lemon, Citrus limon, is written in fine script beneath the decorative fruit and provides a wonderful surprise at the end of a meal. Crafted from vitrified porcelain to ensure durability, all Villeroy & Boch tableware pieces are resilient enough to be placed in the dishwasher and microwave.
