Harkening back to the Renaissance, Villeroy & Boch's Cellini design celebrates the renowned artist from that era, Benvenuto Cellini. Crafted from creamy white porcelain, each piece encompasses a design sculpted in low-relief with a classical grace and elegance. Subtle columns, delicate leaves, and other regal decorations cover the pristine white on white pattern. The understated design allows for everyday use, however, the classical elements add a unique quality to the most formal occassions. Measuring 7-3/4 inches tall, 7-3/4 inches wide, and 11-1/2 inches from handle to handle, this 3-quart tureen provides ample room for serving vegetables or soup, while a groove in the lid ensures that the serving utensil can remain in the dish at all times. The faintly sculpted white on white design adorns the oval bowl, ornate handles, outer rim, and rounded finial atop the lid.
