For a charming presentation, the handled lid lifts to display creamy butter or margarine on the 6-by-3-1/2-inch plate. Featuring one of 40 different birds perched in natural environments, including magpies, sandpipers, ducks, and egrets, the pattern of this attractive collection was inspired by original illustrations from the 1794 edition of the Natural History of British Birds.
