Product Description Chanticlair casual dinnerware conveys the romance and charm of the French countryside. A rooster and floral motif in warm hand-painted colors creates an inviting country feel. Numerous sculpted accent and serving pieces add to the fun and diversity of this collection.
Amazon.com Review Evoking the French countryside with handpainted flair, this salad plate adds a note of charming chic to the casual dining affair. Perfect at breakfast or with a bed of farm fresh greens at dinner and for any variety of lunches, this versatile sized plate makes a delightful presentation at the table. A warm golden border with a leaf and berry design surrounds the outstanding rooster motif featured in the center of this fine china plate. A rich red band and green trim coordinates the color palate of the pattern, complementing the Chanticlair Floral dinnerware collection. Safe in the dishwasher, oven, and freezer, this fine china plate is made in England in the classic Royal Doulton tradition. --Roberta Cruger

Beautiful plate February 22, 2008 Love to read (The Berkshires, U.S.A) I agree with the person who said this isn't what I would call fine china but I love it. Very colorful and I also ordered the other plate to go with it. It looks beautiful in my country kitchen!
Nice but not identical to original pattern November 9, 2007 J. Harrell This is a very cute plate but it is not quite the same as my original pattern, The red color is lighter and the plate is a little bit smaller.
But I wouldn't call it "fine china"... April 25, 2007 A. Rosenberger When I see the phrase "fine china", I think of the light, thin stuff my mother owns. This is stoneware; it's thicker, heavier, and much more substantial. It's beautiful, however.
