Good idea October 14, 2008 D. DeLuca Saw this as a deal of the day. Read the reviews on Amazon and several other sites and decided to give it a try. I bought one for me and my husband. It has freed up all but one port on my computer. I have a zip drive that I still use and the domehub would not recognize it. It's not that old, but too old to use with this hub. But, I have connected the following items to it and they work fine - a scanner, a laser printer, a Maxtor external drive, a flash drive and the mouse, plus the free light that came with the dome hub. It easy to connect and disconnect the items, and the domehub does not take up much room at all.
attractive and handy October 9, 2008 Amber Mellano (Anthem, AZ) I just bought an iMac with only 3 USB ports, so this little USB hub was the perfect solution to the problem. It holds its own aesthetically next to the iMac and makes it easy to have all of my iPod cable/iPhone cable/thumb drive USB accessories easily accessible.
Does just what is promises October 3, 2008 Jay Stephens (Oklahoma) A nice product. Provides a usb hub that supports the 2.0 protocol, and a usb powered light to boot! What's not to like? Its attractive and functional.
Works perfect September 26, 2008 Jeremy Kintigh (Las Vegas, NV) AS others have pointed out the angle of ports and weight of the product is perfect. No problems experienced!
Nice Hub but didn't do exactly what I expected September 4, 2008 L. Green (SF, CA) 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
It's a nice looking, heavy, and very usable hub but I have one problem with it. Devices plugged into it are powered even when the Hub's power cable is not plugged in (which means that their only being half powered anyway). My idea was that I would have multiple devices plugged into the hub and then have the hub plugged into it's own power switch where I could turn them all on or off at the same time with the flick of the power strip switch. I like it and it has come in handy for me but I just wish that if it wasn't receiving it's power source that it would not allow any plugged in usb devices attempt to power themselves off of the computer's bus.
