Great everyday dishes July 22, 2008

The Villeroy & Boch Anmut collection is my everyday china. The quality is very good, and the white has a rich, reflective sheen to it. This china may be too basic for some, but I love the simplicity of it, and every color of food contrasts nicely with the white. When entertaining, I use colored/textured placemats and coordinating cloth napkins for an overall refined restaurant-like effect. Also, it can go into the dishwasher and microwave with no problem. Everyone I know who registered for "fancy china" for their wedding never uses it. (Or they pull it out for Christmas or Thanksgiving) This is what you use the other 363 days of the year.

Had these nearly a year now and use for everyday ware. Excellent white, really pure and great shape. Food looks good on them, even mine.
