Product Description Is it a punch bowl? cake holder? Hors d'oeuvres tray? It's all three! This sturdy 4-in-1 piece is as versatile as it is stylish with a dotted tray and round shape, this piece is a valuable addition to your table.
Amazon.com Review A true entertainer's piece, the Luigi Bormioli Gallerie 4-in-1 covered plate with a dome cleverly handles many serving needs. The clear glass plate, stand, and lid can all be partnered in different ways to form a punch bowl, a chip-and-dip set, a cake holder, an hors d'oeuvres tray, or other creative food displays that the home chef might conjure up. What an economical way to multiply your serveware without over-filling the kitchen cupboards! Crafted of lead-free, heavyweight glass, this 4-in-1 offers a timeless, luxurious look. It also goes safely into the dishwasher--perfect for the modern home. Fully assembled, this piece measures 9 by 12-1/4 inches. It is made in Italy. --Kara Karll

Save your money, don't buy this! July 22, 2008 Peke Lover (Seattle, Wa.) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I was so excited to see that Amazon was carrying this item and at the price of $29.99 as Macy's sold the very same thing for $50.00! (Because Macy's carried it, I made the assumption that it would be of good quality. Wrong!!!) I was really excited about its multi-use. It looked lovely in the pictures and therein lies the problem. First of all, it's not nearly as beautiful in person as in the pictures. Rather than graceful with elegant lines, it is chunky and plain. Second of all, the quality of glass is very, very cheap. The dome, plate, and base were full of very distracting bubbles. There were even lines in the glass where lines should not have been. I was so disappointed in this item that I promptly returned it! Don't waste your time or money.
Love it! July 10, 2008 Lora A. Botts If you are using valuable storage space make sure you use it for something that fills a couple of purposes! This is it!
Nice Plate, but Beware of Shipping July 1, 2008 Jimmy (NC / DC) 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
After two attempts to have it shipped, I gave up and bought it in a local store. The plate is very nice, but having it arrive in 1000 pieces was not. The second shipment never even made it two our house - UPS said it was "damaged" and sent it back automatically. If they can't ship it, they shouldn't sell it.
Wonderful Product June 12, 2008 Michelle Leicester (Edenton, NC United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I loved the Luigi Bormioli Gallerie 4-in-1 Covered Plate with Dome. It is elegant but yet very useful. I recommend it if you often entertain. A three layer cake fits in it nicely. I liked this item so much that I bought one for my Grandmother this past Christmas. She loves it to display cakes. She doesn't really entertain a lot so the cake plate is all she uses. So if you entertain a lot I suggest buying one. If you do not entertain a simplier cake plate would do.
Wonderful for pies, and Bundt Cakes! June 8, 2008 hasselaar (New Hampshire) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I purchased one of these cake plates with dome a few months ago. I had purchased a similar version from Anchor-Hocking.I bake many pies and Bundt cakes, and the dome of the Anchor-Hocking is too narrow for use with a pie plate, it is too small for many Bundt cakes. The Luigi Bormioli is large enough for a large pie plate, as well as all of my Bundt cakes. It has a very nice (expensive) appearance, and is also wonderful for use as a fruit bowl, you can turn it over for use as a punch bowl too. I just ordered my second Luigi Bormioli Covered Plate with dome, and highly recommend this as a very useful, and decorative kitchen item.
