Totally worth it February 23, 2008 Kersi H. Vakil (Olympia, WA United States) Dont agree with the negative reviews. Inspite of being melamine, the colors are bright and overall its a pretty set. We use it when the children have play-dates and for daily use too. Wish they made more pieces like platters and serving bowls. Very user friendly, would even make a great college-friendly item too.
deceptive description December 30, 2007 D. R. Allen I was very disappointed when I received my purchase. I was expecting stoneware dishes and did not expect plastic with the "Pfaltzgraff" pattern printed on. I did not see anywhere in the description that these dishes were melamine and not stoneware... maybe the price should have been a giveaway.
Napoli melamine dishes November 23, 2007 VA mom (Richmond, VA) These are great for the kids...lightweight and unbreakable. It's nice to have kid-friendly dishes that go with my Napoli set!
Thankful! February 13, 2007 Laurie Kelly (Yuba City California) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I almost ordered this set by ZAK until I read the reviews. I had no idea that it was plastic. I thought it was deceiving because I would not have known it was plastic unless I read the reviews. Thank you to the person that wrote how disappointed she was.
not plastic - it's melamine! June 14, 2006 esporter (USA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
these are not cheap plastic knock offs, these will last you 20 years of constant use. My mother still has a Melamine bowl from the early 60s she's used almost daily. stoneware chips and breaks very easily -- you will not have the same stoneware in 20-30 years, I guarantee it. the drawback to melamine has been that it's usually pretty ugly. now it comes in pfalzgraff designs, and is no longer (necessarily) ugly. if you want the stoneware, order the stoneware, but if you want something tough as nails for rough use, kids, pets, and klutzes (such as myself) you will save a thousand tears shed over chips and cracks if you go with the melamine.
