3 out of 5 stars Great Pizza Peel for removing cooked Pizza from Hot Stone   September 24, 2008
W. Shafer (So. Oregon)
This is a excellent Pizza Peel for removing your cooked Pizza from your Hot Pizza Stone. I am still trying different methods to try and get the un-cooked pizza off the peel and on to the Pizza stone. I've tried Corn meal sprinkled generously on the peel and the pizza still sticks. I will try flouring the peel and the corn meal next. So I rated this peel a 3 star as it works GREAT taking a hot, cooked pizza off my stone, but trying to slide off a uncooked fully topped pizza onto the stone just makes a mess.

4 out of 5 stars Great Pizza Peel   September 23, 2008

The Pizza Peel looks perfect. I would have to agree with the other writers that the packaging was lacking and I was surprised it was not damaged in shipping. Also, there is a little hole on the wooden holder at the end of the paddle that one could hang it on a wall; but it is missing a leather/rope cord to hang it. Not sure if that was intended but I will have to fasten my own cording in order to use this function. I feel professional using this as though I own my own pizza parlor. I like to use this to remove the pizza off our Big Green Egg when we are making pizzas outdoors. Great Price!!!

4 out of 5 stars Worth the money   June 9, 2008

This is a long pizza peel so be prepared when you go to store it. It has a hole in the handle but no loop. I used a piece of leather shoe string and it looks good. The box was crushed and the tape was loose but the peel was fine. They used very little packing material to keep it safe. Good product, poor packaging.

This pizza peel is a great buy for what you get. I love to grill pizza on the gas grill and this is perfect for turning the dough and removing the pizza when done.

5 out of 5 stars No more burned arms.   May 26, 2008

I do not know how I lived without this. Seriously. I used to take pizzas out of my oven with a long knife and any box, piece of cardboard or anything I could slide the pizza on to. Cant tell you HOW many burned arms and dropped pies I have under my belt.

This, used with my new "Old Stone Oven 14-Inch by 16-Inch Baking Stone" that I also bought here on Amazon, is the PERFECT (and only) way to cook pizza. Works when reheating a restaurant made pizza, cooking a pizza on your own from scratch or even making your own pizza with a store bought crust, it's the only way to go.

I laughed the first time I used it because it was so easy.

I also build my pies on this (with a little cornmeal between the crust and pizza peel), before putting them in the oven. When I'm done, I pull the pizza out of the oven and cut my pie right on the Peel. No more dirty cutting block. I can move and scrub the Peel better than I can my heavy cutting block too.

Just awesome.
