This slicer is stronger and easier to use than the one I have, and it does a nice job on an apple, very quick and right on through. None of these I've used go completely all the way through an apple every time, but it's plenty close enough for the pieces to be easily and quickly plucked out. The grip is good, and raised to prevent knuckle bashing such as the ones with straight handles do. This is a good one.

I love kitchen gadgets that work and this is one of them! Does exactly what it's supposed to do, makes 10 slices quick and easy and cuts close to the core without any waste. Perfect size for putting in food processors (we juice all the time). Probably the perfect size for children's small mouths too. Easy to clean stainless steel. Heavy duty, great quality. You won't regret this one!

It worked fine for about 25 apples, then the blades broke away from the ring. Based on the other reviews, I may have received a defective sample, but I can't recommend.

This apple slicer/corer does a good job of getting through an apple, except for the last bit of skin at the bottom. I'm not sure why it is designed this way but you end up having to break off the individual apple pieces to separate from the skin at the bottom. I guess cutting on a towel might let you get all the way through but that's not ideal. Hence, 3 stars because I think people should be aware of this bothersome issue.
