Delicately detailed and invitingly shaped, it's easy to see why Vieux Luxembourg is one of Villeroy & Boch's most enduring dinnerware patterns. This porcelain gravy boat holds 14 ounces in a long, contoured body with a rim that lifts at each end to hold a serving spoon. Covered in a creamy white glaze, the vessel is decorated with large sprays of dark blue flowers backed by a subtle wavy pattern in the glaze. The accompanying stand features raised sides to catch spills and small navy flower sprigs. Completing the set, narrow blue accent lines trace the rim of each piece. The final effect is both organic and refined, giving traditional brown gravy or modern chutney an easy and elegant presentation. Imported from Germany, this porcelain pattern was first introduced in 1768 and has withstood the test of time and fashion. Today's version is vitrified for durable everyday use and goes safely in the dishwasher and microwave.
