I bought this shoe organizer to take on a cruise, where the closet/drawer space can be limited. It's great because it's clear and one can see the little items in each section. It helps keep the suite clear from such items as sunscreen, glasses, ipods, ...you get the idea. It's also wise not to open it before packing. After it's been used, it's a little more cumbersome to re-fold and pack.
