Fan is well made and went up easy. Works well no complaints. Just a question for Hunter. Remote has 3 fan speeds with reverse and on off for fan. Remote also has on off for for light. Why didn't Hunter include dimmer control for lights?? Earlier models have a dimmer control built in. I see they do make a dimmer remote for light and of course that would be for additional expense. Fan is expensive as opposed to similar products so why be so cheap and not include the dimmer control with remote??

I cannot recommend this product. One week after installation, it's a nightmare. The fan is constantly turning itself up to high speed and turns the lights on anytime it feels like including in the middle of the night (it's in my bedroom). Everyday I turn it off before leaving for work and come home to a fan on high speed with very bright lights. According to Hunter, the remote control is very sensitive to other electronic devices, I not sure I buy that excuse but that's their story and they are sticking to it. Unfortunately you cannot disconnect the remote system because it is built into this fan. The fan is quiet and I really like it otherwise but I prefer my fans to not have a mind of their own. Do a search on other consumer review website and you will find this is a problem for a lot of people who have Hunter remotes. If you really want to give a remote control Hunter fan a try, I recommend buying a model that does not have the remote built it. Buy the remote separately and install it. Then if you incur problems at least you can disconnect it. I wish I had read the reviews on Hunter remotes before purchasing this fan. It's about to have a one week lifespan in my house. For the record, I also have a Casablanca fan with a built in remote and I have had no issues with that one.
I am very disappointed in the product and myself for not doing more thorough research.

This is an EXCELLENT product and AMAZON is THE place to buy it from and they even shipped it for free with SUPER SAVER. I bought this fan because of the reviews i found here on amazon and some pictures i had seen on the internet but, the thing still takes my breath away. I installed it myself in about an hour, i only read the instructions first very VERY well cause it comes with all sorts of reading material so pay close atention to your home's configurations and your needs. Instalation wise i only needed a couple of screwdrivers, some wire cutters, electrical tape and my wife out of the house for about an hour, but, when she came back, she thought i had the windows open and she did'nt notice it cause it was sooooo quiet. The remote unit is awesome, it has ALL the functions on it, all fan speeds, fan reverse and the light button on the remote is also a DIMMER which comes in handy for those romantic evenings on the couch. The INCLUDED but optional instal light fixture is a very nice touch to ANY decor. All in All, i could NOT be any happier with this product, if your looking to buy an EXCELLENT made product that will last you for years to come and want to save some money at the same time, look no further, this is IT!

I like this fan a lot. The price was great so I can live with the fact that one of the blades was scratched (inside the factory sealed packaging) almost like it may have been sold as a second or irregular product. Quality is good. Assembly was easy - although the instructions did include supplemental information that caused me to have to unassemble what I had put together once I found the additional information. Read all the separate instructions before starting assembly.
