The Dyson Slim Dc 18 was unbelievable. It was wonderful on all surfaces and the end results were breath taking. I never write reviews but I was so blown away that I had to...
I love it! October 27, 2008 Jamey Marx (Sitka, AK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is a great vacuum! I use it everyday and am still amazed at how much dust and dirt I can find in my house. I only gave it 4 stars because I wish it were a little easier to use on my stairs.
worth every penny.. October 24, 2008 Cheryl Polishchuk (Mi, usa) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This Dyson is wonderful.. I have contemplated this purchase for a long while.. All of my friends have one, however, I had a hoover bagless with some cyclone tecnology... Not at all,... it was the worst vacuum I have ever owned. It sounded like a frieght train. It had so many area's that were needing to be changed and cleaned..I have no pets,.. and it was horrible.. My Dyson is easy to use and really does have wonderful suction. It has a very easy to use hose, I love it...
Best Vacuum Ever October 12, 2008 Vanessa (Seattle, WA) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This vacuum is the best - it picks up everything!! The design makes it easy to maneuver and clean. I had an issue where it stopped sucking and realized the filter was clogged. As soon as I removed the stuff that accumulated, it was sucking once again. I wondered if the vacuum would be worth the money and it is.
Major disappointment! October 1, 2008 Judith L. Nichols (Cincinnati, OH) 5 out of 10 found this review helpful
Dyson DC18 Slim All-Floors Cyclone Upright Vacuum Cleaner Last year when I asked for a new Bissell for Christmas, my husband and daughter insisted that I deserved the best vacuum cleaner available, so they bought me the Dyson DC18. For the first couple of months, I loved it (after I figured out the very vague instructions). Then it started catching on my berber carpet and ripped it up. It took several weeks to even get through to customer service. They told my husband that you're supposed to turn the beater bar off when vacuuming berber. (Thanks for not including that tidbit in your instruction book!)So I turned the beater bar off. Again, it ripped up not only the berber carpet, but a carpet runner in another room. We tried to take the vacuum to a local repair shop, and were told that no local shops are authorized to work on Dysons. Several more conversations with customer service later, we were told to take pictures of the carpet to prove our claim. My husband stated that I had trimmed off the pulled-up loops to avoid further damage. He was then told to have me vacuum the carpet again to CREATE MORE DAMAGE to be photographed. He refused. We were finally given the name of a repair shop in the next state that will take care of the problem. At least that's what they say. They have my Dyson now, and as far as I'm concerned, they can keep it. I'd love to get my money back from Dyson, so I can replace their piece of junk with a cheaper, more reliable vacuum that doesn't ruin my carpet. Addendum 10 days later: We got the Dyson back from the local repair shop that was supposed to "take care of the problem." The customer rep there stated that there's nothing to be done, because "there's nothing wrong with the vacuum cleaner." Her next sentence was "You'll have to buy another vacuum cleaner, because you can't use this one." Then she tried to sell my husband another one. I've filed a complaint against Dyson with the Better Business Bureau. Let's see where THAT goes.
