I bought several of these that I plan on giving for Christmas presents this year. If you are looking for bold, traditional colors, this is not the plate for you. The picture is a true representation-they are softer and muted, so unless you are using other pieces from the Merriweather group, you might have a hard time matching you other dishes. Overall, I am happy with my purchase and know the recipients will be thrilled as well.
