I also bought this kettle a few months ago. It's beautiful, and boils the water super fast, all my guests loved it, but the switch is not working properly and doesn't stay on. so I can't boil the water anymore

I bought this kettle in November 2007 from Amazon. It stopped working - will not switch on - August 10, 2008. It has always been treated with appropriate care.
It worked fine for the 9 months that it did.
It is still under warranty so I am going to call the company and see what their response is. I will update this review once I hear from them.

The design is very good, but it starts to smell plastic after a couple of usage. I returned it. Also the description on site was wrong about the size.

Making tea is an important and frequent activity for me. I shopped around and am so glad I settled on the Capresso. It heats really fast, the water doesn't come in contact with any plastic parts, its easy to clean (though doesnt need cleaning since I only put water in it), I like the look of it, and it pours easily and cleanly. Its perfect and it makes me happy to use it. The only drawback is since it is made of glass, it does require some attention and care in handling and wouldn't withstand the rougher handling that a steel one might take.
