Okay, now I've turned into a gadget junkie after watching Emeril for so long, but finally, I've received a gadget that just works wonderfully. I really like Kitchenaid products and this one is just so very nice. It isn't lightweight like most brushes so you can get a firm grip on the thing and it doesn't slip out of your hands if your hands get a little greasy with the basting. No, the bristles are not natural - they're nylon but that's even better in my book. It just works like a charm and I'm just so very happy that I finally have a substantial pastry brush. Besides, it can take being mangled by a toddler and springs back like it is new so how can you beat that?! My previous one died under the pressure....
Anyway, this one does a wonderful job and even goes in the dishwasher (I use the top rack). A great buy too!

This is a great pastry brush. It is the perfect size for pastry. It doesn't have the natural bristles described by Amazon but I have to say the nylon bristles it has are very easy to clean and work just as well. I actually prefer the nylon bristles because I think they are much easier to clean and are much more sanitary than the natural bristles. Well worth the $. Highly recommended!
