The nylon bristles on this heavy, sturdy European-style tool baste meats, poultry, and seafood and apply marinades. The brush has a stylish, enamel-like handle, with accent bands of 18/8 stainless steel polished to a mirror finish, and is dishwasher-safe. The brush handle is shaped for a firm grip, is weighty enough to provide control, and has a hole to facilitate hanging on a hook or peg. The bristles are 2-1/4 inches long and 1-1/2 inches wide. Overall, the brush measures 9-3/4 inches long. KitchenAid says the first year of the lifetime warranty against defects is hassle-free; the company will ship a replacement at no cost and without question if a defect is detected. --Fred Brack

Used it once on a hot skillet, and it melted almost entirely (the bristles, not the handle). If you're only using it on low temp applications, I think it'd work fine, but for anything real hot, go for something in silicone.

Great brush. I used it on the grill and it didn't burn the brissles. It washes easily and doesn't hold in previous flavors like other brushes. Great product, well worth the money.

This is truly a terrific basting brush! It is sturdy and has a good size handle. The brush is substantial and the nylon bristles are very easy to clean. Egg wash rinses right out with ease. Highly recommended! A+!
