Here's one spatula you won't find melted up against the side of the stove. Heat resistant to 500 degrees F, it's crafted from a sturdy silicone that won't scrape or scratch nonstick cooking surfaces. The 7-1/2-inch handle allows better reach, and the 3-1/2-inch head is angled and flexible to help you extract every last drop of cake batter from the bowl. (Whatever you do, don't tell the kids you'll be using it; they might go on strike.) The KitchenAid logo even doubles as a spatula rest, so you can place the spatula up against the rim of a bowl without it sliding into the goo. --Mary Park

5 out of 5 stars Best spatulas on the market!!   February 7, 2008
Pamela U. Moore
I don't know what some people expect out of products, but the KitchenAid spatulas are the best out there anywhere!! Yes, I have tried others, only to throw them away after they flake, chip or melt. I have KitchenAid's other spatulas also and won't do without them. They scrap the mixer bowls out better and can get my batters out in no time. I've not had any problems with the spatulas staying together, and not even a hint that any are coming apart.

4 out of 5 stars An Excellent Value   January 24, 2007

The spatula is heat resistant and does not stain. It seems slightly stiff compared to Pampered Chef but at one-third the price, it's a good compromise. The KitchenAid spoon spatula would be a nice addition to this one.

3 out of 5 stars beware of water   March 16, 2006

I bought this scraper (along with a whole set of KitchenAid utensils) as a birthday gift for my mom, she loves it. She cooks a lot and it's already been put to great use. I like that it can with-stand very high heats. The only thing that she and I do not like about this product it that the handle retains water when used in the dishwasher. Depending on the type of dishwasher that you have you can probably put it on the top rack and it will be okay but otherwise you might be using it when yucky water leaks out.
Otherwise a great product - especially if you have time to do all of your dishes by hand.

2 out of 5 stars Disappointed with KitchenAid this time...   February 7, 2006

I have this scraper and after just a few uses, it fell apart at the connection in the center. Normally, I rave about KitchenAid, but this product was truly a disappointment.

5 out of 5 stars As always THE BEST !!!   September 11, 2005

I have the long handled and a short handled and am about to purchase another one. As always Kitchen Aid has made another great product! They do not deteriorate like the cheaper products, are able to withstand high temps, keep their color
( they don't stain) , come apart for easy cleaning and storage. Their handles are very tough, sturdy, I don't have to worry about the handle breaking when scraping a heavy bread dough. They just simply work very well , and they are very reasonably priced.
