Amazon.com Review Jump-start or revamp your kitchen basics with this seven-piece nylon tool set from KitchenAid. The kit includes all the primary utensils you reach for when cooking: a slotted turner, a pasta server, a slotted spoon, a serving fork, a ladle, and a basting spoon, and they're all stored in a ceramic crock. Crafted from heavy-duty nylon, the tools are heat-resistant to 450 degrees F, safe to put in the dishwasher, and gentle on nonstick cookware. Each tool measures 14-1/2 inches long and has a comfortable textured handle. The pasta server, in particular, features a notably roomy head, making it handy for short pasta as well as long. The crock easily holds all six utensils, but each piece also features a hanging hole. --Emily Bedard

LOVE this set! January 15, 2005 Lawyer Mom (Virginia) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I was a bit worried when I read the reviews about their "large" size. However, I was pleastantly surprised. They are the same size as the other kitchen tools I use. While they are larger than most nylon tools, they are average for most stainless tools. They have a great feel to them and I love the storage crock that comes w/ this set. I highly recommend them.
Way Too Large July 3, 2003 17 out of 18 found this review helpful
Buyer beware. I'm a Kitchenaid fan but these tools, while sturdy and elegant, are much too large for normal kitchen pots and pans. The slotted turner dwarfs a 6 or 8 inch frying pan. Likewise the slotted spoon is unusable in less than a four quart saucepan.
