3 out of 5 stars Didn't Even Last a Year   September 28, 2008
R. Irr (Schaumburg, IL USA)
I bought this because it was heavy grade steel and looked like it would last longer than plastic. I used it nearly every day for limes and it actually cracked before a year. All I can say is if you live in the northern part of the US and have rock hard limes a third of the year I don't think anything can stand up to that. If you just use it occasionally or you live in an area where you have access to soft, ripened fruit I'm sure this would be sufficient.

5 out of 5 stars Most useful Gadget Ever!   January 13, 2008
G. Mueller (Salt Lake City, Utah USA)
I use this thing almost every day. Probably the most underrated tool from Kitchenaid. Looks and feels like it should cost double. Just get one - you'll love it.

This juicer is by far the best one to use. Only problem is that the oranges cannot be too big so they fit inside.

2 out of 5 stars Citrus Juicer Broken Hinge   October 12, 2005

The KitchenAid Citrus Juicer was easy to use and did work well, however, after about 6 months, the hinge broke. Either our Citrus Juicer had a flaw, or KitchenAid needs to add more reinforcement near the hinge where there is high stress. We are returning our Citrus Juicer to KitchenAid for a replacement, it did work well while it lasted.

1 out of 5 stars Very Poor Quality   August 14, 2004

The third time that I used this juicer (for exactly what it was supposedly designed - squeezing juice from lime halves), it broke into pieces. It is made of inferior quality "pot" metal (zinc chromate?) and should be withdrawn from the market. Don't waste your time and money on this piece of junk.
