I really like KitchenAid products. It's very sturdy and does the job.

The wires on this wisk are too far apart for mixing shallow quantities. OK for deep mixing, though.

Oh, how I LOVE this wisk! As the previous reviewer said, this one doesn't have that nasty little round thing at the top that does nothing but rust and get dirty. This guy really stands the test of a two-year-old running around and banging it on anything he sees. It's so much heavier and nicer than any other wisk I've ever used and it's just a fantastic purchase. Don't be afraid to buy this one - if a two-year-old can beat it up almost daily, then it's definitely worth the money.

3 out of 5 stars Handle easily scratched   January 18, 2004

I think the pros go with the stainless handled models because there is no plastic to get scratched up. The second time I used this it was scratched up on the handle from being in the sink with other silverware. This is not the same quality as the earlier KitchenAid utensils which cost a bit more.

5 out of 5 stars Worth Every Penny   August 24, 2003

I am a big Kitchen Aid fan. I have bought other whisks and have since thrown them out because they have broken.

One of my biggest complaint with cheaper whisks are that the handles are so thin that it's hard to get a good grip on them. That's not the case with this one. The handle of large enough so you don't have to have a 'death grip' on the thing to make some scrabbled eggs.

Other whisks tend to have that little metal disk where the wires meet the handle. That thing is just something else I have to clean. This don't have one and there aren't even handle crevices that I have to scrub with a toothbrush to get clean.

This may cost more than other whisks, but it will save you time and money in the long run.
