As with the other KitchenAid knives I have, the quality is really good. It's well made, good weight, feels good in the hand. Oh yeah, and it does a great job cutting bread. It makes a good smooth cut, even in very soft breads like croisants. A great deal for the money.

Serrated teeth are too far apart and blade is too thick. It tears the bread

This knife is excellent quality -- perfectly balanced, feels nice and weighty in your hand. It is so sharp that it almost scares me. ;-) Its cushy silicone handle keeps your hand from slipping during the back-and-forth motion of bread slicing. It cleans easily...just a wonderful quality bread knife...I love it!
