Amazon.com Review Why not choose cookware that brightens up your kitchen décor? KitchenAid's Gourmet Essentials Hard-Base cookware features not only a heavy-gauge aluminum core for fast, even heating, but porcelain enamel exteriors in a choice of bright red and other colors. The three-layer nonstick finish inside each piece is primed with the company's patented hard base ceramic primer for toughness, resulting in long-lasting durability and quick food release. KitchenAid further embellishes these colorful pots with dual-riveted, stainless-steel handles that are wrapped with comfortable, stay-cool silicone grips. The lids, made of 18/10 stainless steel, also feature silicone-wrapped handles, highly arched to enable easy grasping with a potholder or oven mitt. Both the pans and lids are oven-safe up to 350 degrees F. Take note: the cookware is not dishwasher-safe, and should not be used on ceramic or glass cooktops. An excellent value, this 12-piece set consists of the most frequently used kitchen pots and pans and makes a great gift set. The two skillets, measuring 8 and 10 inches in diameter, handle everyday frying and sautéing needs, from eggs-over-easy to grilled cheese sandwiches to fish filets, then crepes for dessert. Three saucepans holding 1, 2, and 3 quarts let you boil a couple eggs, heat soup, and slow-cook rice. The large 8-quart stockpot with two loop handles works admirably for family-sized batches of pasta, chili, soup, and corn-on-the-cob. Finally, the 12-inch/5-quart covered sauté is so versatile you'll use it often to fry chicken, braise meats, and whip up vegetable stir-fries. The nonstick finish releases food quickly and makes clean up by hand a snap. KitchenAid covers the set with a limited lifetime warranty. --Ann Bieri What's in the Box 12-piece cookware set. awesome pans June 13, 2008 K. York (spokane wa) Love these pans. Always bought T-fal until these. These are wonderful. A must have for any kitchen. I havent found a kitchenaid product that wasnt a great product.
Great value March 31, 2008 Dawn C. Sneade (North Grafton, MA United States) I absolutely love this set of pots and pans. They are a great value for the price. So far I have no complaints about the set. Not only that, but when I realized that the price of the set had gone down before I received the set, Amazon immediatly adjusted the price to the lower price.
Love it!!! March 16, 2008 V. Bacon (Las Vegas, NV) I love my new cookware set. So bright and cheery. I think they are very well made and they are so easily cleaned. The price was great and no shipping cost. Can't beat that! My dutch oven did have just a tiny bit of damage on the top rim but I chose not to return it for another as it is very small and in no way affects its usability. I would highly recommend this cookware set.
Glass stove top, no problems so far March 14, 2008 Danyal Womer (Hamilton, Ohio USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have a glass stove top and so far I have had no problem, I have never put them on high heat though not even when I boil water 8 or med high has brought it to a boil every time. I was hesitant to get these because of reviews that I read about the glass top stoves but I am so glad that I did they are great! eggs never stick,Omelets are a dream to make, My husband loves omelets and in the past has thrown a skillet or two after trying to turn them and it not working but with these when you pick up the skillet and move in a circular motion the egg slides around when ready to flip. I love these and they have passed the husband test he loves them also. We have no complaints so far to date but its only been 3 months I will write more in a couple of months to let you know how they the wear and tear is.
