Product Description Crossing over from the Classic line is the Alton's Angle Steel knife, offering the uniqueness of a 10-degree angled handle that increases leverage and control. The 4-in. Paring Knife is ideal for peeling, coring and perfecting meal presentation, with a Shun blade that ensures the ultimate in precision, seamlessly paired with a sleek, stainless handle that looks and feels professional.Made in the ancient city of Seki, Japan, Shun knives rely on extremely sharp blades, made of Japanese VG10 steel clad with 32 layers (16 on each side) of a proprietary blend of high-carbon stainless pounded so thin, it delivers precision slicing, cutting and chopping that is unprecedented by any of its German competitors. The Shun Steel line features an attractive stainless steel handle, formed in the same ???D??? shape as the Classic knives, for comfort and control. The seamles

Damn, what a bargain! September 28, 2008 yUi02 (Zion Grove Pennsylvania United States) Simply can NOT beat Shun for day to day usability. And this might just be their most useful knife for western food prep. It's the all steel version of the Alton's Angle (which is twice as much for a pretty Paka-wood handle) The HRC 62+ blade, the 10deg offset angle, D-shaped handle are truly addictive. I have an eclectic mix of various knives, but use this most often.
handy knife your hand will love July 29, 2007 Maubee (SC USA) Smart design for a paring knife. Shun is a great knife we have several and are slowly replacing our collection with Shun. Alton's angle adds to Shun's excellent grip
