Amazon.com Review Whether it's to keep cork particles out of expensive wine or assist the fragile-wristed cork puller, the Trilogy Table Corkscrew from Screwpull is the one of the world's most sophisticated instruments for cork removal. Not only does this clever table corkscrew take the work out of cork removal for effortless bottle opening, it now pushes the cork off the screw as well, thanks to Screwpull's ingenious new Activ-ball mechanism. To open, simply turn the handle and the screw drives into the cork's center. Turn the other way and the cork effortlessly exits the bottle. Then, while holding the corkscrew (and not the cork), turn the handle again and--voila! The Activ-ball pushes the cork right off the screw! Pinch down on the sides to keep the cork from falling, and then reinsert it with the same ease. A great device for everyone, there's no better way to shave seconds off serving time, or put the hulk-handed cork popper at ease. Designed in Europe and engineered with the highest quality materials for strength and durability, Screwpull's new Trilogy line also features luxurious, soft touch panels for extra comfort. Non-stick coating and perfectly shaped points ensure frictionless opening. Plus, this innovative new line of Trilogy corkscrews and bottle-opening accessories was awarded the 2004 Cooking Club of America Kitchen Tested Seal of Approval from Cooking Pleasures magazine. --Brian Olson

Without a doubt, the best, easiest corkscrew you will EVER use! August 9, 2006 Beth Cholette (Upstate NY USA) 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Being a wine lover, I've used all kinds of corkscrews, from your basic twist model to the kind with the "wings" to the two-pronged kind. Finally, I received the Screwpull as a gift, and my search for the perfect corkscrew came to an end! As others have said, the Screwpull effortlessly lifts the cork up, so there's no actual "pulling" whatsoever--all you do is simiply turn the easy-to-use lever at the top of the device. In almost 10 years of usage, the Screwpull has never failed to easily and cleanly remove a cork; on the rare occasions when it had trouble removing the cork on the first try (probably because I started too close to the edge), simply starting over solved the problem. Spend a little more money to buy the Screwpull, and you'll never need to buy another corkscrew again; highly recommended!
Screwpull, Screwpull, Screwpull - the only thing for corks! August 8, 2006 Del Marls (NY, NY) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I have used most of their products over the years - from the original turn corkscrew to the really expensive lever models. This is a new twist (pardon the pun!) on the classic. Somehow the pressure applied by this corkscrew will allow the most feeble cork to turn and lift. The design can not be improved too much - so simple. This is the corkscrew everyone should use.
So worth the money. April 18, 2005 Karen S. Kelly (California) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I was in a car accident and have trouble gripping, and also have pain and limited motion in my shoulders, so even using the wing-style cork screws were uncomfortable for me. I finally decided to splurge on an easy-to-use corkscrew. I'm so glad I bought this one. You just place the corkscrew on the bottle, then turn the handle clockwise. It's big and rubber, and easy to turn & grip. The corkscrew goes down into the bottle, and actually lifts the cork out, as you continue to turn it clockwise. Then, to get the cork off of the corkscrew, you just turn the handle counter-clockwise. I'm so glad I splurged and quit struggling with cheap corkscrews. You do still need the use of both of your hands, one to squeeze the corkscrew against the bottle, and the other to turn the handle. But, it did not require much strength at all. It's also attractive, and comes in a sturdy plastic box, which is nice, as it won't get scratched up in my messy kitchen utensil drawer!
