Amazon.com Review Every home bartender needs a set like this one. Completely made of stainless steel, the elegantly designed set includes a brushed-finish ice bucket that holds one quart of ice, along with a polished stand that keeps six bartending tools at the ready. The tools consist of a pair of toothy tongs, stirring rod, bottle opener, cocktail whisk, bar knife, and double jigger. The last four utensils all have cylindrically shaped, weighted handles that provide good balance for the tasks at hand. The stirrer and stand feature unique fan-like handles. To preserve the luster of the steel, the barware set should be washed by hand. --Ann Bieri What's in the Box 1 bar set. The set includes: ice bucket; stand; cocktail whisk; stirring rod; bottle opener; bar knife; tongs; double jigger. 8 pieces total.
Amazon.com Product Description You'll be the hit of every part with this elegantly designed, stainless steel barware set, which comes with a handy stand where all your tools will be at the ready and a 1-liter ice bucket. It includes everything you need to make any order that comes your way--from a classic lemondrop martini to a tropical mai tai. The set features a stainless steel bottle opener, pair of tongs, cocktail whisk, stirring stick, bar knife, and double jigger with handle. The long, brushed stainless steel handles are easily grasped and are a bit heavy for good balance. The stainless steel stand can be easily carried via a playfully designed handle. Hand washing is recommended.

Great Starter Gift Set November 29, 2008 Kate Lupa This is a great starter set for anyone setting up a bar. I am giving this as a housewarming gift to all my friends who are finally in their first homes - it's a really good quality basic set with all the tools needed to start entertaining with cocktails and you can't beat the price. It's packaged in a plain recyclable brown box - which makes a very nice and simple statement that I know my environmentally conscious friends will appreciate.
Pretty Good November 28, 2008 Coffy6 (Trenton, NJ United States) This is a pretty good starter barware set. It is sophisticated and durable enough for my home needs, but not fancy at all. All of my friends who come over for drinks find it very practical and useful, which is good enough for me. The ice bucket is not as heavy as the other one I own, but it seems durable enough to last. Overall, good value for the price.
Dishwasher safe November 28, 2008 D. Hong (Philla, Pa) To me, anything that is dishwasher safe is always a super plus. This stainless steel set is dishwasher safe and looks great. The handles are weighted so it doesn't feel cheap when you are using them. The ice bucket is...an ice bucket. It holds more than enough ice for a cocktail party for family gatherings. It's not like you will be leaving ice sitting out all day if you plan on using it for mixing. The strainer works, and fits on top of my shaker that I got at Target just fine. I love the double jigger since it has a handle and I don't have to worry about spilling alcohol on my hands when I am pouring. I already have a knife I use to cut fruit, and won't really use this one just to cut fruit. I tried it, and it does cut lemons, but not as well as the knives I already own. The bottle opener opened a bottle of Michelob Ultra with no problems. The set looks a bit cluttered on the stand when displayed, but it is nice to be able to keep them all organized. All works as it should, and for about $30, it's an ok deal. It's very nice looking, and if you want something ascetically pleasing, this would be a nice set. It's a barware set, and everything works like it should. When it comes down to it, it is all depending on your personal taste if you like it, and if you think it will fit your home decor. All in all, look carefully at the pictures and decide whether it will clash with your decor or match it perfectly. It matches well with mine, and I enjoy it.
Not A Serious Bar Tool November 26, 2008 Oceanman (Virginia) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The Pinzon 8 Pc Stainless Steel Bar Set could have been a winner. Short comings begin with the ice bucket. Designed with a somewhat sharp lip, the small bucket loses style points for having no liner or lid. The accompanied knife has absolutely no true edge and would make cutting any fruit with the exception of canned peaches, very difficult. Nicely balanced, the stirring rod, whisk, and the handled jigger could probably go the distance without any long term replacement. A pleasant surprise was the quality of the toothed tongs. The jury is out on the bottle opener. Besides the knife, it would probably be one of the first items replaced. Two obvious items missing is the cocktail shaker and wine screw. No bar is complete without them. Even with bar tools attached, the stand is somewhat weak and unbalanced. Nicely finished but flawed, the Pinzon 8 pc Barware Set could never be considered a serious tool for true bar owners. I would find it very hard to even recommend this item as a good starter kit.
Good for a Gift Set November 25, 2008 Jacob Hantla (Chandler, AZ United States) Watch Video Here: http://www.amazon.com/review/R1YG4XI0XZAL4X Mediocre quality, nice looking, limited in usefulness compared to a quality version of each piece included. For the most part, the pieces feel solid due to weighting in the handler. I was disappointed in the size of the ice bucket, hoping for a larger bucket, but am very happy with the way that it looks. My guess is that over the next few months, everything will get thrown away except the bottle opener, the knife (which is not very sharp but probably good enough for cheese), and the ice bucket. It probably makes a good gift set or a starter set, but not super good quality. However, it is probably about right for the price. Take a look at the video to see everything that comes with the set and see if it is right for you.
