Amazon.com Review Ideal for a large family or a dinner party, this round CrockPot from Rival is cleanly designed and simple to operate. One dial turns to three heat settings, low, high, and keep warm for serving, and a red light indicates the power is on. The heavy stoneware crock lifts out of the heating base for easy cleaning thanks to a stick-resistant coating, and is attractive enough to serve from right at the table. While the crock is safe for use in the microwave and dishwasher, it is not intended for use on a stovetop or under a broiler. With two cook settings, low and high, the pot can slow cook a wide variety of stews, roasts, and soups, recipes for which are included in the owner's guide. The glass lid, also dishwasher-safe, sends moisture back into the pot while at the same time allows contents to be viewed. Easy to carry by means of heat-resistant, flange-style handles, the pot measures 10 inches high by 12 inches in diameter (14 inches with handles). Rival covers the slow cooker with a one-year warranty. --Ann Bieri

All around great... July 20, 2008 Sleepers Delight (New York, NY United States) This has been with me for over three years without any problems at all. It is a great price, cheaper than in the stores, and hasn't cracked or chipped on me in the time I have had it. It's a good size, not too large that it's hard to handle, and not too small that you can't really use it for a family. I have made large roasts with potatoes and carrots and onions as well as several large chicken breasts. Perfect for stews, soups, chili, homemade sauces, anything really. You won't be sorry with this purchase if you are looking for a well made crock pot to fit you or your family's needs.
Bad Crock June 19, 2008 KGS (Upstate, NY) I have a thirty year old Rival Crock Pot that still has not one crack in it. Therefore, I was shocked when I used this large beautiful piece of cookware for the first time and it cracked. Multiple cracks after the very first use. It wasn't an expensive purchase but a very disappointing one. Was it bad luck... I have no clue. I'd love for Rival to exchange my cracked crock for a new one so I could find out and I'd be happy to say, it was just bad luck.
Not quit right May 5, 2008 Markrico A. Corulli 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The top of the pot is not level. The lid rattles back and forth.
Nice CrockPot March 10, 2008 Aleta J. Jackson (Cherryvale, KS United States) I got this to replace a very small crock I had. This is a nice size...plenty of space without being too big. Crock looks nice on the table to serve out of and fits in the refrigerator well if I do not want to divide up leftovers into smaller containers right away. Outer heating element part is lightweight and wipes clean well. The high setting seems to be a bit hot. I use it only for an hour tops before turning on low. --definitely would use on warm if leaving on for more than 4 hrs. Crock lifts out nicely because it isn't too heavy. --don't like lifting weights in the kitchen :) The crock cleans nicely even if there is a baked on mess. --simply rinse out excess debri and add hot soapy water to soak awhile....cleans easy. Food tastes great and the heavy lid helps greatly to hold in heat and moisture while food is cooking.
rival 6 quart crock pot March 6, 2008 Nancy A. Scott (Carmel NY) I am very happy with the crock pot, and highly recommend it. It makes meal preparation very easy
