4 out of 5 stars 475 watt Kitchenaid stand mixer   June 23, 2008
M. Morawey
This powerful machine along with its new design kneading hook made easy work of the first French baguettes I made after receiving the shipment. The big motor is noiser than the smaller 325 watt machine we previously had but is a small price to pay for that great mixing and kneading power! The pouring shield which was supposed to be included did not come in the box. I emailed Amazon who would take no action. I emailed Kitchenaid without result. I called kitchenaid and forced the issue. They quickly sent the pouring shield without extra cost.

5 out of 5 stars Great Mixer   June 21, 2008

I use this mixer 3-4 times a week and it works great! You cannot tell that this is a refurbished mixer. It looks and works like new. This model has the narrow mixing bowl, but that has not been a problem. (bowl is narrower and deeper than the current model) I also purchased the meat grinder and the ice cream maker attachments and the also work great!

I was a little apprehensive about buying a refurbished product, but this was a great buy and I saved a lot of money over buying a brand new mixer :)

Would purchase again, but won't have too, 'cause this one will last forever. Great mixer! Finally got one! I've wanted one for a long time and my husband bought this one for my birthday!

5 out of 5 stars Review of Kithenaid Mixer   April 28, 2008
Arlene L. Hooker (Dalton, GA USA)
I purchased a kitchen aid professional mixer and so far I have had no problems with it and I am enjoying it alot. It is a great mixer.
However the internet said I was to get a pouring shield with it and I did not receive one. Everything else came in with the mixer.

5 out of 5 stars Very Powerful   March 28, 2008

Wow! I had an Oster Kitchen Center Stand Mixer for 20 years. Some things it mixed well and others it didn't. It wasn't a strong mixer. When I got my Kitchen Aid I made the toughest batch of cookies I know of. The recipe makes a lot and it is very tough to mix up. I've never been able to use any electric mixer on this recipe and I've even broke a Rubbermaid spoon while mixing the batter. The Kitchen Aid had no problem mixing the dough, it went through it like it was just butter.
But as noted from other reviewers ... it does NOT come with a shield as the description says it does.
