I always thought these machines were pretentious, until I tried one while visiting my sister. Then I was hooked. Without elaborate recipes, these make consistently great waffles. Now, on the downside, you need to eat them quickly while they're crispy, but that's not a problem at my house. Once the pan has been lubricated for the first use, it's maintenance free thereafter. The bell chiming when the pan is hot enough, and when the waffle is done is brilliant - no more guesswork.
 Heating element didn't last August 10, 2008

This waffle maker worked well - while it worked. I had it for over a year, but only used it maybe 15 times before the heating element went out. It just seems too common for electronic appliances to fail these days. I didn't check, but I'll bet it was made in China.

i am not a waffle lover, so when my friend made waffles for breakfast while on vacation i wasn't all that excited...until i had one! these are the best waffles - crisipy on the outside and soft on the inside. i was sold...i had to get one! perfection!
