Amazon.com Review
Programmable for automatically brewing "wake-up" coffee at a selected time, this coffeemaker brews up to 12 cups. A replaceable charcoal filter improves the water, and a permanent Gold Tone filter replaces paper filters. Other features include a spray head that distributes water evenly through the ground coffee; a glass carafe with a stylish stainless-steel band; a scratch-resistant nonstick warming plate; cord storage in the rear (push in the cord to conceal it); a window that shows the water level; and a pause function for a midbrew pour when the carafe is removed. For peace of mind, you can program the warming plate to shut off at a specified time (up to four hours) after brewing. Clad in gleaming white plastic that easily wipes clean, the coffeemaker measures 13-3/4 inches high, 8 inches wide, and 11 inches deep (including the carafe handle), and carries a three-year warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

4 out of 5 stars Like it...But...   October 10, 2007

I purchased this coffee maker a while ago...it works just fine...BUT...the ad said I would get a FREE permanent filter...which I never did get...had to take my old permanent filter from last coffee pot and spent about 2 hours with a steak knife trying to cut through the plastic to match a 'U' shape needed for this one...so disappointed I did not receive the free filter as stated in the ad. I do not buy paper filters...a nuisance for sure...and the 'retro-fitted' old filter works, though it does not allow the cover to shut completely.

I was given this coffee maker as a gift and it didn't live up to the Cuisinart name at all!!! It lasted for about four months of light use and that is disgusting for a very expensive coffee maker. I'll NEVER buy anything "Cuisinart" again.

It is the best coffee maker I've had. Works beautifully. Water tank IS a bit small, but the problem is solved by tilting the coffeemaker a tad forward at the end of the pouring action.
Love it. It also matches the color of my toaster and coffee grinder.

2 out of 5 stars not up to standard   March 8, 2007

This coffeemaker is alot more tempermental than a second one I have at home. I bought this for my office, and most times it spills over, if the lid isn't closed down all the way, it brews coffee with a ton of grounds in it. It definitely is not Cuisinart quality the way I know it. I guess maybe next time I will buy the best coffeemaker Cuisinart makes (like the one I have at home) and skip the cheaper models.

I bought this for Mom's red kitchen and everytime I see her she thanks me this for this coffee pot. It's stunning and a true red that only cuisnart pulls off. Don't skimp on money with coffee pots. You get what you pay for and with this coffee pot - you get a lot. Highly recomended.
