Had a B&D toaster ovenwhich developed a switch problem for "toast" same as that commented on later models. Couldn't purchase replacement switch because I had it for several years. Their service department didn't want to hear further. After reading reviews I bought Avante Elite, and I love it so far. It is also the first t-oven that makes great toast and controls temperature. Convection is almost silent.
 Nothing but trouble May 11, 2008
very unhappy
After 2 weeks LED malfunctioned. Cost 22 dollars to ship for service. Returned in... yes, 9 weeks to us and LED worked but oven went on by itself!!!! TFAL sent us another which sounds like a motor boat or a car without a muffler. Have yet to see the 22 dollars which by warranty is due us for a defective product sent for service. Buy a cheap toaster oven at Walmart and save yourself a lot of grief!!!!

Great toaster oven. Does not take up a lot of counter space. The only con I can think of, is that the rack does not stop and stay horizontal when pulled out. Be careful. Otherwise I think this is a smart looking, fast cooking toaster oven.

I am completely satisfied with the convection toaster oven. I have already used it for baking, warming and toasting. Once I learned how to use the programing it was very easy to use. I am now learning the convecton process since that takes less time than the conventional oven. Have not had a failure yet!

I bought this oven because I liked the look and thought that it would be nice having the convection oven to cook casseroles and meats faster than in a traditional oven and would be more energy efficient. However, the convection fan only works on the bake cycle and it certainly isnt any faster. It takes about the same time as a regular toaster oven to cook anything, and toast takes forever. I do like this toaster oven's warming rack. It is great for lightly toasting buns or warming rolls. This oven's easy to clean features are great. Just don't expect it to cook faster and think of it as a regular toaster oven. It does cook evenly and does save energy by not having to use your large oven for smaller things
