    1 out of 5 stars 66332 Five-Year Worker vs. 66332R One-Month Lemon   August 23, 2008
    D. A. Bailey (Berkeley, CA)
The 66332R is what replaced the 66332, and, unfortunately, if you order from Amazon, the "R" is probably what you'll get.

I used the original 66332 roughly 5 times a week for about 5 years before the motor lost its torque. It may not have been a rock solid piece of kitchen equipment (by contrast, my Omega 1000 extracting juicer impresses with its power and weight), but it performed well and cleaned up easily. My only complaints were the hollow handle on the 66332's pitcher and the tight crevasses on the underside of the reamer: both were inaccessible and made great habitats for mold. (Fortunately, neither spot comes in contact with the juice).

The 66332R fixed the problem with the handle. Unfortunately, it breaks almost everything else. It has 5 pieces to wash instead of 3. It has a smaller pitcher. The original felt pretty solid, whereas the R creaks, feels flimsy, and the strainer piece tends to come out of its position. The reamer of the original stayed snapped in place in the strainer, allowing one to pour from the pitcher without removing the strainer and reamer. Be prepared to hold the R's reamer in place by hand when pouring.

    My R was excruciatingly loud.

And now it's dead, its gears no longer properly engaging after about a month of use.

I'm on the look out for my next citrus juicer. In case anyone is wondering, I did try the Omega's citrus attachment on my 1000 a few years back. It worked well enough, but it's really a compromise because it involves a bunch of gears to slow its reamer down to a sensible citrus speed. Clean up was much worse. It makes sense to me to have a machine that's designed just for citrus.

    1 out of 5 stars model 66332 = Good // Model 66332R = BadMod   April 20, 2008
    bob (San Jose, CA USA)
Model 66332R ("R" for reject?) is generally defective.
I have tried two units myself. Both have broken on the first usage.

Model 66332 on the other hand is excellent. Be sure to get the right model number.

The better model (66332) does NOT have an adjustment on top for
    the pulp drain width.

    5 out of 5 stars model 66332 = Good // Model 66332R = Bad   April 20, 2008
    bob (San Jose, CA USA)
Model 66332 is an excellent juicer for citrus
    from kumquat to grapfruit sizes.

However, some vendors have substituted model 66332R,
which is noisy, clogs easily, and breaks instantly.
Model 66332R (R for "reject"?) is surprisingly
useless despite the similar model number.

If you read through these reviews, nearly all fall
into two camps; it is either the BEST or WORST juicer.
I think the BEST is model 66332, while the WORST is model 66332R.
The "R" model has an adjustment for the pulp drain slot size.
    Model 66332 does not.

1 out of 5 stars Worked fine for one day   April 8, 2008
    Kiril K. Zugloff (Atlanta,GA)
After one day use it started making noises and stop working. I returned it. After reading all reviews I went with another Citrus Juicer this time.

1 out of 5 stars worst juicer ever   March 20, 2008
Patrick T. Ega (south lake tahoe, ca. USA)
this item did not even go through 1 bag of oranges and stopped working, i picked it up and heard rattling in the bottom of the unit. i had bought it the year before at end of the orange season so by the time next year rolled around it was too late to return. i opened the bottom and found that the cheap plastic gear they put on the motor had twisted in half. i don't really like the brand in the first place never had cheaper products from any other manufacturer. don't buy this item unless u want to replace it shortly after u get it. if i could give it less than 1 star i would.
