not what I expected, it doesn't live up to what is written about it. the butter falls into the water, and you have to change the water every day, especially if you live in a hot climate

All I do is slightly melt real butter in the micro for a few seconds, then put it into the "bell" and WOW! Works SUPER!

Love my butter bell.. Visited a friend of mine this summer and she is a butter lover and English so she had one of these and suggested that I get one to keep butter spreadable. Works Great. Suppose to keep it fresh for month without refrigeration.

No complaints from us, we love this crock. Sometimes the butter slides out, but not a product issue or a big deal. It has happened with all the ones we've had. This one is a great size for table service.
