Heat not fantastic, easy cleanup September 15, 2008

Can't fry a lot at once with this - oil doesn't exceed 350 degrees and cools rapidly when a handful of room-temp food is introduced. Consumers who complain of oil leaking should observe the max oil level inside the fryer - if allowed to drain automatically (great feature BTW) and you exceed the max oil level, of course it's going to make a mess. EASY cleanup. The filter feature is silly - use either outside or under a range hood. For those who commented about overflowing oil, don't forget to turn on the range fan to remove the smell of oil.

T-Fal FR7008002 Ultimate EZ Clean Pro-Fryer Stainless-Steel 2-2/3-Pound Deep FryerI have really enjoyed using this fryer. The mess is virtually non-existant and clean-up is a breeze. The price was reasonable for the product, and the food cooks well. I would recommend it for anyone.

We do alot of deep frying and I do like this fryer. But there are a few things that are a little disappointing. It takes up alot of room, kind of a pain to clean and awkward to carry. I like how it filters the oil, but you have to wait 3 hours for the oil to cool before you can do that.
The oil container is kinda awkward and messy. But all in all it frys very well and I like the basket and cover. My house no longer smells of oil afterward.

I bought this after reviewing many many other fryers. I've used it about 5 or 6 times so far and I've been happy with it. The auto drain and filter works just fine. No spills or mess. My only recommendation for a design change would be to put the heat indicator in front or higher above the temprature dial. As it is, its hard to see unless you stand right over it. The glass window is not very usable as it steams up and you have to take the lid off if you really want to inspect the contents. But overall I'm happy and would buy it agian.

as with most of the other 1 star reviews I had the same issue. First use it fried fine then when it came time to drain it, half went the reservoir, the rest went all over the counter. STAY AWAY!
