With the food processor's multi-purpose blade, you can chop, mince, blend, mix or emulsify foods quickly and easily. Remove the blade, replace it with one of the slicing or shredding discs (2- and 4-mm slicing discs and 4-mm shredding disc) and you can shred cabbage for salads, slice potatoes for an au gratin dish or slice meats and cheese for sandwiches.
