Toaster July 30, 2010 eddie the frog in FL This is one of the better toaster we ever owned. Worth the money we paid for it.
Excellent Toaster July 16, 2010 Steve Higley This toaster seems just about as good as they come. It has very consistent results, it is very attractively designed and all of the functions work just as advertised.
Good product July 10, 2010 mb Bought this over 6 months ago, and it works great. The slots could be a little longer, sometimes the bread slices are being squeezed a bit. The only other issue I have, is that it does not have a release button, to make it a bit easier to stop the toasting process. Otherwise, very pleased.
buy for looks only June 30, 2010 Scott Even after reading the negative reviews, we purchased one of these toasters anyway. After all, how can they demand such a price if the toaster was not of fairly high quality? The toaster lever quit working soon after we purchased it. We could not prove that the toaster was less than a year old because we could not find a receipt. So we are just out the money and a toaster. They were however, "very sorry". Any toaster that cost almost $100 should be warranted for more than 12 months and now I know why it isn't. Don't make the same mistake we did - read the negative reviews then dismiss them. You are paying for the pretty looks and name only. There are other much less expensive red toasters out there and they will probably stand behind their product much better.
Junked after a year June 27, 2010 Mnemosine (Forest Park, IL USA) We wanted a toaster that would last, and this is why we spent the money on this one. It was metal, so the usual flimsy plastic breaking would not be a problem. It lasted just over a year and stopped working. We spent a fair amount of time cleaning the magnetic parts from breadcrumbs as suggested, but no luck. This is a true piece of garbage. My thoughts are that if we cannot get a toaster that can last over a decade, we may as well stop eating toasted bread. We just can't stand the waste. On the other hand, I know there are metal toasters you place on the stovetop, like a mini grill. If anything, that will be our next toaster.
