3 out of 5 stars Uneven toast   June 30, 2008
Phil Spellman
This toaster was rated the best or second best in two reviews I read. One of which was Consumer's Report. I was disappointed that it did not toast the bread evenly on both sides and also uneven on one side.

5 out of 5 stars An Excellent Product   June 8, 2008
Casper (Glen Cove, NY USA)
I had a toaster that I had to dump in the trash. I got the Krups FEM2 to replace the old one. It works great. It is very sturdy and has some features that others don't. For example, by turning the control lever to the left, you could get to one of three high-lift positions to remove small pieces of bread. It has a defrost function. It has a warming plate on top for heating croissant. I haven't seen such features in any other toaster. Overall, I am very happy with this toaster.

5 out of 5 stars Krups Toaster A+   May 27, 2008

First came upon the Krups Toaster in the Mayan Riviera in a condo. Two weeks after our return I purchased one for home. Toasts so fast, I was able to retire my clunky 4 slot toaster.

1 out of 5 stars Run! This thing is awful   May 3, 2008

If you only toast bagels, fine. Nice warming feature on top. But it can't toast a piece of bread evenly. Generally, it just dries it out and burns the edges. I've had this thing for a year and I am tossing it.

4 out of 5 stars Toasted   April 23, 2008

This thing works so fast it's scarey fast. Wish my truck was as fast. But one thing, in this world of big bread, how come no one ever has a slot wide enough to accomodate a slice? I throw then endways in, and have to reverse them after the first cycle.. pain in the butt, but very evenly toasted.
