Very Nice.... March 13, 2010 Marv
The toaster heats up quickly and seems to maintain the right temp without it going on and off frequently. The controls are easy to understand. The clock is useless if like us we store the toaster in a cabinet. Don't need more clutter on the counter. Could use a little longer cord. We enjoy not having to heat our oven for a few rolls or a sandwich or two. All in all we are very satisifed with the toaster oven. And besides, the price was right !!!
Best Toaster Oven we ever had! March 12, 2010 G. L. Murawsky (Altoona PA) Does everything youd expect and more. Toasts very well and nice range of adjustments.
Also great for heating up and cooking too.
Only drawbacks are the cord is short and comes out of the right side of the unit.
If you need to plug it into an outlet to the left...you might not have enough cord depending, and a pain
to have to put an extention cord on it.
Cuisinart - Still the best March 10, 2010 Larry in Boston (Boston, MA) We love our new toaster oven. It has been difficult to find a unit that toasts, broils, and bakes with equal success, but the Cuisinart TOB-155 is that product. The oven heats up quickly and evenly for baking, toast comes out perfectly brown on both sides without having to flip the bread over, and bagels top brown nicely. We haven't used the broil feature, yet, but I assume it works just as well as the other two functions.
The push button controls are easy to read and easy to use. My only suggestion for Cuisinart would be to include a small light inside the oven to make it easier to see the food during prep and for removal. Not a big deal, but would be a nice touch.
We look forward to using it every day and would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for a moderately priced, multi-task, toaster/broiler/oven.
Toasting, Broiling, Baking and reheating with Cuisinart March 10, 2010 cumulus34 (Cape Ann, MA) Pick your function / option and set it to on and you have perfection coming out of it every time.
An Excellent Compomise of Features and Price March 9, 2010 Honest John (Eau Claire, WI) Decided we needed a toaster-oven after realizing we were using the large (energy consuming) built-in one just to heat a few rolls or other small tasks frequently. I read reviews on Consumer Reports and first bought the recommended Kenmore at about $90 on sale. It was huge, ugly, and worst of all the "bake" temperature was preset to 400 and could not be changed! Continued searching and found this mid-range Cuisinart model on Amazon and thought I'd give it a try. It's terrific in every respect. To toast two slices or less, make sure you put the bread in the middle of the rack and that the rack is in the correct position (of three possible). We have not used the broil feature, so can't comment on that, but bake and toast features are great.
The manual is clear and very helpful; the three-year warranty a real bonus. For its capacity it looks smaller and fits in nicely with cabinetry. If I could have everything I wanted (and it would not be practical at this price point) there would be an interior light. Overall, an excellent purchase.
