5 out of 5 stars Great design   September 1, 2008
D. Alden (Lenexa, KS United States)
The oven arrived really fast and I liked the look of it a lot but I sent it back. My problem with it was that the door was too small for the opening and it left a small gap at the top. I am assuming that this is a defect in this one individual oven and it is not supposed to have this gap. I didn't have a replacement sent but I am considering ordering another one because I liked it better than any others I have seen. I didn't cook in this one but my mother has a DeLonghi and it is wonderful.

This has it all. It is large enough to bake a 12-inch pizza, and it has three pre-programmed functions for getting you pizza to come out perfect. If you are making a pizza from scratch, use P3 and you will have crispy crust.
The fan bake will give you a perfect lasagna in about 25 minutes or less.
The rotisserie is very well designed, simple to use and clean (although I guess I don't prepare the chicken right cuz mine tastes like ...).
They give you lots of enameled cooking trays of various depths.
The entire inside surface is enamel, so it is easy to clean and will look good for years to come.
Digital rules! Once you have the settings figured out for your meal, it will always come out just right- set it and forget it.
This is a bargain. Williams-Sonoma sells this same model (except theirs is 'retro' style) for exactly TWICE the price as you will pay for this on Amazon!
The minuses? When I find one, I'll post it.

Unit's left side plus interior wall was caved in. THis was suppose to be cosmic however not true. I did call amazon they were great with C/S on page instantly. They refereed me to a Delongi service center here in town. After they got unit it was about 1 week before I got an answer and Delongi sent me a brand new unit Perfect. I am please but never will buy like this ever again. Took 3 weeks finally.Lost 3 weeks in process thought i was screwed but came out great.

5 out of 5 stars Works for me!   March 27, 2008

I bought this oven on a whim, when I saw it on sale 6 months ago at a great price. I had earlier bought and immediately returned one of the little Sanyo ovens that a lot of people seem to like, so I didn't have high hopes for this one. However, it has exceeded my expectations. I have cooked pizzas (they fit, and cook evenly and crisply), refrigerated cookies (they cook so evenly that there is no need to turn the pan), one pie (great), baked chicken, various kinds of potatoes, toast (not so great because you have to use broil), and various other things that would have turned to gooey lumps in the microwave. Wait for a sale, and then snap it up.

5 out of 5 stars Great little oven   February 25, 2008

We love this oven. It has a lot of great options: oven light, timer temperature indication, etc. We still haven't tried all the cooking options (pizza function, dehydrate, defrost, etc.). The fan bake does reduce cooking time. Two main advantages are that we don't have to heat up a big oven (we wanted to downsize since our only son left home), but it's still big enough for a 13" casserole dish. I performed a comparison test and my power meter spins about half as fast as it does with the full size oven.
