5 out of 5 stars Fast Cooking, Easy Cleanup, Even Browning, Multi-use, Quiet and Energy Efficient.   October 30, 2008

This is the most versatile and best single cookware item I have. It cooks much quicker than a convential oven. You can see what is happening to the food at all times. It is energy efficient: only heating a small area around your food, rather than a whole oven and heating it efficiently, cooking quickly with convection. It's quiet. Does not heat up the house. You can roast, broil, steam, bake, toast and more. You can cook items directly from the freezer.

I have tons of top quality (Calphalon, All-Clad) pots, pans, grills, a multi-use countertop oven, slow and pressure cookers, waterless cookware... But if I could just keep two, it would be the Flavorwave first, then the Zojirushi EP-EVC25 Electric Skillet (lets you brown, then slow cook right in the same appliance).

You will enjoy using the Flavorwave! It will save you time and money while producing great tasting food... Steaks, Ribs, Roasts, Chicken, Hamburgers & Hotdogs, Fish, Vegetables... Get one!

Clean-up is easy. Just spray some Pam or cooking oil on the rack. When it's time for cleanup, I soak the rack inside the bottom pan for a few minutes and both come clean with a swipe of the sponge, no scrubbing.

I highly recommend this product.

4 out of 5 stars Cook Foods Right out of the Freezer   June 24, 2008

You can take frozen foods and place them in your Flavor Wave Oven and just follow the manual directions. After the food starts cooking turn the temp. down from 400 to 350. I used this oven twice, one for a whole frozen chicken and two for a couple of frozen cornish hens. I forgot to turn the temp. down for the hens but I did a better job on the chicken.
I would say this is the ideal gift for a young couple who do not have alot of time to spend in the kitchen.
