Product Description Pound meat with a tenderizer and you'll quickly break apart the tough muscle and cleanly pierce and clip the fibers. Also handy for crushing ice and nut shells.
Amazon.com Review This professional-grade tool, with stainless-steel prongs to break down tough meat fibers, provides controlled, uniform meat tenderizing. You can also use it to pierce meats before they're marinated so flavors penetrate deeply. The 2-inch-diameter plastic disk on the bottom is spring-loaded. It provides precise control when the tenderizer's handle is pushed down, so the prongs pass through the disk's holes and into the meat. When you release downward pressure, the handle springs up again, poised to tenderize another section with the same smooth, uniform action. This durable, heavy-duty tool (7-1/2 inches high) will last a lifetime. It's dishwasher-safe, too. --Fred Brack

A great little kitchen gadget! July 19, 2008 Faye L. Bowring (Tucson, AZ) Just received this handy little gadget a few days ago, but have already used it in tenderizing and marinating meats. I am one of these nuts that always rinses dishes or kitchen gadgets immediately after using, so did not experience any problems with rinsing or soap cleaning. I have not had it long enough to know whether it will rust, as some reviewers noted. If it does show signs of rust, I will use W40 as one reviewer suggested and also update today's review.
Great Product June 30, 2008 MO Clementine (Kansas City, MO) I bought this product after watching my friend use one and eating the tender meat he fixed a few times. I was grateful to find it on-line because I decided I definitely had to have one too. I even bought an extra to give as a great gift.
great kitchen gadget May 2, 2008 R. Wilke (Cincinnati, OH) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I use this little gadget on any kind of meat I want to grill. A little sprinkle of seasoning and a dash of italian dressing then stab a few times and put on the grill. Everything comes out tender juicy and delicious. I don't like italian dressing on salad but it's great on meat.
sort of ok... April 14, 2008 J. DAVIS (new england) This does work well for tenderizing meat but it rusted after 1 trip through the dishwasher. There is really no way to clean this by hand. Would be better if the spikes were removable for cleaning, and if it was a little larger. I used a cheap copper wire type scourer and pounded this into it to remove the rust but that is impractical as the scourer is junk after one use for that purpose. This tenderizer needs to go back to the drawing board.
Norpro Meat Tenderizer January 8, 2008 Amazon user (Dallas, TX) I like this little device very much. Bought it for all my friends. I used it on chicken so far, it helps to penetrate spices in the meat. It is not messy, works great, and very cheap.Norpro Professional Meat Tenderizer
