I've had this only a month, but I am loving this toaster oven. I have Usually had much cheaper and less useful ones. Although it's a higher price it has been worth it. I'm planning to use this a lot this summer.

When I finally had to replace my old Black & Decker toaster oven, my first thought was to get another like it, but to my dismay, I found that the small toaster ovens had all downsized their power to the point that it took forever to toast bread and bagels. The results not only took a long time but were highly inconsistent. I went through several brands trying to get good results and finally decided to spend the money on this model. This Krups uses a new type of multiple quartz elements and great sensors to produce fast, accurate results. The toast is always browned evenly and consistently based on the setting used. It even compensates for the toaster being pre-warmed when doing multiple batches. Baking is equally well-controlled. My only concerns about this model are that it takes up more counter space and it is so solidly built that when it finally needs replacement, I will probably have to go through multiple toaster ovens again to find a good one. Krups, just keep making this one!

My Black and Decker died after 8 years of faithful service. I couldn't find the same model, so I decided to upgrade to a larger size. After reading many reviews - I chose the Krups FBC2. I love this oven!
It makes the best toast and I can pop a frozen pizza in and it's done in 12 minutes.
Easy to use controls. It has weight to it - which I like very much.
And, it was packaged so well. I was impressed. Everything was wrapped in plastic and styrofoam.
The only thing I would change is how hot the outside gets (my Black and Decker stayed cool)- but, other than that it seems to be doing a great job!

Have not used my stove oven since receiving the Krups. I'm single and used to heat up the big oven for a couple of rolls or one baked potato! am very satisfied....
