Do not buy from this seller! November 25, 2008 Sheryl L. Mickelson (Missoula, MT) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
It has been over a month since I ordered a book from zp-books. I still have not received the book. I can't get anyone to email me back. I would never order anything from this company again!
We get it -- breastfeeding is best -- can we get to the recipes now? October 30, 2008 Chelsey A. Hibbard (USA) 0 out of 2 found this review helpful
The book's ok -- the recipes ok. But what began to drive me crazy is the constant drumbeat of 'breast is best'. No kidding, I know that. I have a baby and I've heard all of it. I'm so OVER all of it and ready to begin introducing my little one to solid food. Let's just stick with that, ok? That's the title of the book, right?
Ok book October 8, 2008 Caroline (Atlanta, GA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
A little disappointing. The recipes are not as simple as I thought. Some are not purees. I will use ideas from the book but probably won't do the recipes as described.
great buy October 4, 2008 L.M.H. (Charlotte, NC) This book is exactly what I wanted for my new baby - an easy set of directions for making various baby foods, using fresh produce and no preservatives.
Excellent Recipes - My Son Loves It All September 3, 2008 Amy Driver (Kansas City, MO) My sisters each have 2 children and none of them LIKE to eat healthy food. I have witnessed more meal time battles than I ever cared to. So when my husband and I had our first child this year, I was determined that we'd do whatever we could to avoid raising a picky eater. My son is almost six months old (doctor said it was okay to start him on solid food at 4 1/2 months). He has tried everything in the age appropriate section and most of the items in the 6-7 months section and he loves them! I can't shovel the food in fast enough. He even loves the fish and vegetables with cheese sauce. Note to people who are concerned about the cow's milk: Ms. Karmel does state that cow's milk by itself should not be given to an infant, but that it has been shown to be okay to use in cooking other foods. If you're still leery about that, keep in mind that most of the recipes don't use cow's milk. I always try everything myself before I give it to my son and the recipes actually taste really good. In fact, we all love Cinderella's pumpkin (I've made it as a soup). I'm really excited to get to try the recipes for older kids too - they look fun and healthy. My favorite part is that I'm not trying to "sneak" anything into my baby's food. He's just learning that healthy food actually tastes good. Thank you Annabel Karmel!
