Product Description
Workday mornings are a repetitive and harrowing transition from awakening, dressing, and travelling to work. Who has time to prepare a nutritious breakfast. So you end up picking it up at a deli, diner, or greasy take-out - sometimes waiting on line with all the others - and you're still running late. Back to Basics Egg and Muffin Toaster is an alternative.

Need toast? You've got it. Want a poached or hard boiled egg? It's yours. And if you want them together in your favorite breakfast sandwich, the Egg&Muffin Toaster also warms your pre-cooked meat. Bingo...ready to eat in about four minutes. It's sort of the drive-thru breakfast without the drive.

As a multi-function appliance, the Egg&Muffin Toaster expands the practical uses for this small electric by giving those with busy schedules more than just toast. The Egg&Muffin Toaster delivers in about four minutes a convenient and tasty morning meal that's both familiar and well liked. In addition to being a full-functioning toaster, the Egg&Muffin Toaster can simultaneously: 1) toast the bread, 2) cook an egg (poached or steam-scrambled), and 3) warm a pre-cooked slice of ham or sausage?or any combination of these three functions, in addition to boiling upto four eggs.

The Egg&Muffin Toaster features wide toasting slots, an auto shut-off for individual toasting and poaching options, an easy-to-clean control touchpad, and light to dark toaster settings. It also includes a removable crumb tray for easy clean-up and cord storage. The toaster's ?Egg/Toast? function directs cooking of both items simultaneously to complete at the same time.

4 out of 5 stars Great tool for a person w/disabilities   July 5, 2008
Jacquie Bossert (San Diego, CA)
My husband suffered a stroke a few years ago and I ordered this for him so that if I'm out of town he can easily cook himself an entire breakfast and have it all come out at the same time. I've also used it several times for hard boiling a few eggs at a time (via steam method) and we think this is a great "gimmick" for older folks as well as for use in a dorm or for people in a hurry to fix breakfast. PERFECT!

5 out of 5 stars Easy and tasty breakfast   June 27, 2008

What a wonderful idea this is, to be able to make a breakfast sandwich with only one appliance. It's so easy to use, and I applaud whoever thought of this idea.

5 out of 5 stars Tasty, easy to prepare breakfast sandwich!   June 23, 2008

We needed a new toaster so thought we would give this toaster/breakfast sandwich maker a try. It did take us few times to get the consistency of the egg correct. I then marked the line on the water cup so I can make a sandwich without trying to read the cup everytime I use it. The sandwich comes out perfectly. Very tasty, english muffin, egg and ham are all done at the same time. Makes breakfast preparation easy..This product was a great choice for us.

4 out of 5 stars Great Invention. Very happy.   June 20, 2008

Ordered this with some amount of skepticism. After 4 weeks using this, however, I'm very happy with my purchase. Toaster and egg cooker work great. I've tried poached eggs and hardboiled eggs, and both came out great. Unit is easy to clean. Good value.

3 out of 5 stars Breakfast on a Bun   June 19, 2008
K. Redfern (Planet Earth)
After visiting relatives for the holidays who had one of these on their counter, my husband thought we should get one of our own. I purchased this toaster with the full intention that I would rise and shine and make breakfast sandwiches every am before heading to work. The only thing that is a con about this toaster is that you have to use a fair amount of PAM or cooking spray to make sure the poached eggs don't end up a crusted sticky mess.I like that you can steam the ham or bacon (precooked) in the container where the egg is cooked and it times the toast to pop out when the egg is done.
