I've been very pleased with this blender. It's easy to use and to clean, works very well, and it looks great.

2 out of 5 stars Not worth the money   August 8, 2008

I use a blender every day to make a protien drink ,after using cheaper models which usually last a year or so ,I purchased this one! just broke after 7 months ,just got a cheaper Oster that does a better job of blending the 4 powders I use .
I wouldn't buy this one if you want a nice countertop look ,LOOK elseware .

5 out of 5 stars Kitchen Aid Blender   August 5, 2008

The blender does an excellent job when using the ice crush feathure to make margaritas by the glass or by the picture. It does a great job with daily jobs as well. The only negative is the clear knob in the lid doesn't seal that well. If you have a full blender and it mixes the liquid up into the lid, a small amount a liquid tries to seep out.

2 out of 5 stars Problems with the Jar-Motor Connection in less than 1 year   August 1, 2008

I have enjoyed this blender for about 11 months, but suddenly the blade seized up and the rubber joint between the blade and motor shredded itself. A blender is a simple device that should last almost a lifetime, not less than a year. Both the Jar and the motor part are ruined and from what I can see here, lacking a year old receipt I have no chance of getting a free one. Looks like I'll be looking for a new blender from someone other than KitchenAid

1 out of 5 stars Breaks Easily   July 26, 2008

Works well until it breaks. The prongs from the base that fit into the jar and do the actual blending break off very easily.
