5 out of 5 stars Excellent toaster   September 2, 2008
S.B.O.N. (Lexington, KY USA)
This toaster works very well. It toasts very evenly if you toast 2 slices of bread. The instructions inform you that if you toast one slice of bread, the side facing the empty slot will be darker, since heat transfers from the empty slot. This is definitely true. The lift lever is a nice feature. If it is difficult to remove whatever you are toasting, you just lift up on the lever and it elevates the item for you to remove. The crumb tray is easy to empty without making a mess. The toaster is solid and very good quality. It also looks nice and goes well in a kitchen with black appliances.

5 out of 5 stars A fine toaster for the long term   April 27, 2008

I am very pleased with the simple design of this toaster. I have made the mistake of purchasing toasters with too many bells and whistles. I too expect to have this toaster for many years to come.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent toaster   November 28, 2007

We are very happy with this toaster. It seems that the overall quality of toasters has really suffered over the years. The Dualit works as well if not better than toasters we remember from our childhoods.

4 out of 5 stars Simply, a good toaster.   May 30, 2007

One would think it would be easy to buy a decent toaster at Walmart or Target these days but things have changed. The shelf is full of cheap crap that is a poor excuse for a toaster. I've never bought the UK brand Dualit, but I can say it appears to be a well built appliance. I've been using it for 3 or 4 weeks and am quite pleased. I would recommend this product to my friends.

Tried 3 other toasters in 6 months. Uneven toasting, broken knobs, you name it. This little gem is great at making even toast and also a fine bagel. Only takes a few days to get aquainted with the settings. It also looks great and doesn't eat half the counter. Very pleased.
